Sony's next-generation PlayStation 6 is targeting a Holiday 2027 launch, according to multiple credible hardware leakers. The PS6 is expected to feature AMD Zen 6 + RDNA 5 on TSMC 3nm, approximately 30GB GDDR7 RAM, a 1TB SSD with no built-in disc drive, and around 40 teraflops of GPU power — roughly 4x the PS5. A companion PlayStation handheld is rumoured to launch alongside or shortly after. While Bloomberg has flagged potential delays to 2028 due to RAM shortages from AI chip demand, leakers insist the schedule remains intact as of April 2026. Sony has made no official announcement.
