Running of the Bulls

The Running of the Bulls, known in Spanish as the encierro, is one of the worlds most thrilling and iconic annual traditions, held each year on July 7th as part of the Festival of San Fermin in Pamplona, Spain. Hundreds of daring participants sprint through 825 metres of narrow cobblestone streets ahead of six fighting bulls and six steers, in a spectacle that draws over a million visitors to this historic Navarrese city every July.

Rooted in centuries of tradition and immortalised by Ernest Hemingway in The Sun Also Rises, the festival runs from July 6th to 14th and encompasses fireworks, parades, live music, and bullfights, making it one of Europes most vibrant summer celebrations.
