Geminid Meteor Shower countdown timer - Space

Geminid Meteor Shower

The Geminid Meteor Shower is the crown jewel of the annual meteor calendar, peaking each year around December 13–14 with up to 150 meteors per hour under ideal dark-sky conditions. Unlike most meteor showers that trace back to a comet, the Geminids originate from asteroid 3200 Phaethon — a mysterious “rock comet” that sheds debris as it swings close to the Sun. The meteors are bright, fast, and often multicoloured, making them one of the most spectacular natural light shows visible from Earth. Count down the days until the Geminid Meteor Shower with our live countdown timer.
